INSPIRATION MONDAY: BLACK AND WHITE
LOTS of great editorials these days, can't say anything else. Hence the difficult task of picking that one great piece of work for Inspiration Monday - but I succeeded. Today an ode to the ultimate foundation we all love so much: black and white. This editorial from Harper's Bazaar USA, the March issue, brings black and white to life in a pure and natural setting, resulting in quite the inspirational pictures. A good way to start the week, if you ask me.. Pictures from Fashnberry

SNEAKER FREAKER
Yours truly always has been and always will be a sneaker freaker: with my weak ankles and preference for more streetwise outfits it simply is fact. And as a sneaker freaker, one accurately follows the developments in the field of kicks - naturally - and formulates her favorites.. Which I'm sharing today, with you. Hope you'll enjoy, and have a great weekend!
Adidas Stan Smith. All over our lalaland of fashion, or so it seems - they are by any means heavily featured in outfits of those fashion victims looking for an urban/ streetwise look. And who could argue, as they go very will with denim or black? Available HERE
Nike Dunk Sky High. The love of yours truly, honestly - what better way to wear (hidden) heels when your ankles aren't all that? This particular design is my latest favorite: it fully reflects my current favorite color palette. Available HERE
Converse Jack Purcell Leather Sneaker. Clean, cool and white - just how I like it. They are a little less substantive/ more subtile than the white Stan Smiths, which I appreciate: I think they come out a bit more chic (as far as that's possible regarding sneakers, naturally) and thereby create a little less 'urban' outfit. Available HERE
Nike Flyknit Max. A shoe with a more active vibe. If any, I am very fond of this particular color - it's colorful in a subtile kind of way (?). But even better, you can design them yourself too. Will definitely do that at some point! Until then, these will do just fine. Available HERE on sale
Common Projects Leather Sneakers. The leather lover in my has woken up the past months, resulting in an obsession with these smooth and clean black beauties. Quite a price for an average wallet, but H&M and Asos carry some good alternatives. Available HERE

AMSTERDAM FASHION WEEK - THE FAVORITE
Amsterdam Fashion Week is here, and as its shows have started just last night I figured it'd be time for a little search on the most promising fashion victims from the land of the Dutch. A first glance reveals that there are a load of innovative, experimental designers and labels present this week; colors, fabrics, etc - everything is played to the max. On the other hand (and to the preference of yours truly) are more established designers who put it more subtile, which translates into beautiful and wearable designs. I've listed my three favorites of this Amsterdam Fashion Week below.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Most forward I look to the show of Ready To Fish by ILJA, which takes place tomorrow. A label that in my eyes continously balances between tough and chic, and delivers beautiful pieces that combine well, translate into interesting silhouettes and are perfect for every daily routine. Also a show I massively look forward to is the one of Franzel Amsterdam, taking place today, whom I appreciate for the urban vibe all over. Minimal, strong pieces for strong men - love it, and would very much like to see my love wearing this! (Pictures SS2014)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last on my favorites list is Frida by Alexandra Frida, a show that is set for next Monday. Didn't heard about this label before, but got intrigued by at during my search for the gems of this Amsterdam Fashion Week - what a label. It's a bit off my style with more ethnic vibes, color and details than I normally appreciate, but in some way it's still balance and definitely not overdone. See for yourself. (Pictures SS2013)
