Thought it might be fun to stick to the Spanish ways for todays' Inspiration Monday post, as I'm currently residing in Valencia (again) - hence today some inspiration from the land of the glorious WC football deception the tapas, oranges, temptation and Zara. Spain breathes summer in every way, and well - can't say anything else than that I like their take on it. Temptation in the air, (active) outside life but relaxation remains all over .. it's how summer should be if you ask me, and this editorial from Vogue Spain June 2014 understands it - and takes on some gorgeous summer outfits. How good does it get? Happy Monday! Pictures from the Fashnberry

Without doubt: inspiration, for me, is (amongst others) found in the outcomes of nonexpected/ odd/ questionable combinations which turn out to be great. In other words: how very different components come together and, unexpectedly, work. The editorial below, from I-D Magazine Australia June 2014, breathes just that for me - for example: the pearl and the Adidas trainers .. who would have guessed? It's exactly what I love about this editorial, and what I wanted to share with you today. Happy Monday! Pictures from Visual Optimism

Have you made your salescore just yet? Must admit I wasn't able to go on a saleshunt, as I was too occupied with other events (getting a job, planning a move, cleaning out my closets, booking a holiday to relieve the stress and who knows what else) and spending time with the family. But inevitably there's calm after the storm, which has allowed me to do some sale strolling on the web the past weekend. Below you can see my ultimate picks, none of which I have purchased just yet as I intend to wait untill my holiday in Valencia next week (hello Zara and COS sale!) - but for now it's some good windowshopping. Be aware - the list is long..!

Even though I've explored the 'genre' before, this editorial from Vogue UK July 2014 brought something inspirational to the table for me - calling it Slouchy Chic Elegance, 2014. Oversized pieces, minimal shapes and a relaxed atmosphere - strengthened with strong pieces of clothing, such as the blazers below. Minimal balance, maximum effect? Perfect Monday Inspiration if you ask me - Happy Monday! Pictures from Studded Hearts

What I'll be doing this weekend:

1. Prepare our upcoming trip to Valencia - it'll be the third one within a year, but what can I say .. that city has everything to have a fantastic holiday, from beautiful beaches to perfect delicate restaurants. This time we rented our own appartment, which is located right next to a local market and has an outside terrace - I can see myself preparing fresh fish with veggies after a long day at the beach, which we'll finish on the terrace. Exactly the holiday I'm looking for!

2. Write that ultimate SALE blogpost,in which I'll share all my cravings. Designers Remix, Samsoe & Samsoe, & Other Stories and COS already have me hooked, but I have yet to make up my mind .. writing the post will help with that, hopefully! Particularly on the lookout for one good blazer (below you can ready why) and some steady heels, but who knows what I'll end up with - it's sale, after all ..

3. Have the ultimate Tapas/ Wine diner with our neighbours on their roofterrace - simply enjoy summer. Tips for homemade (vegetarian) tapas, anyone?

4. Go to the gym. It simply has been too long.. Then again, I can't wait to project my energy and adrenaline on a workout or two.. Past week has got me going on; why exactly you can read below.

5. Enjoy the latest addition to my wardrobe. Remember the bag I talked about HERE? Well, a week ago I got a job (!!!), after which my mum decided it would be the ultimate from-mother-to-daughter present for the occassion. She couldn't be more right, if you ask me - it's the perfect bag to take to work. It came in today and it's so so pretty (making me so so happy)!

6. Look for houses. As I mentioned earlier - with a job, a move to the other side of the country would come along. The great search for that perfect place (and that perfect workwardrobe, but ok..) has hence started, and with that I'm becoming more and more of an interior/ architecture fanatic .. Thus don't be suprised if some interior inspiration will pop up here!

Do you have any plans for the weekend? In any case - have a great one!

Let me start off with a bit of education: Resort Collections. Traditionally designed for those upperclass women who would avoid the first signs of Autumn/ Winter by travelling, it is a reflection of what the next summer collections (launched during the September fashion weeks) will bring according to designers - the term 'pre-collections' is hence to be applied. And, as with any round of collection launches, some of them are not to be missed. Below you can catch my favorites - what are yours?

1. Chloé
Can it get anymore perfect? Subtile, elegant, strong and with a decent use of color - it's exactly what I'm looking for. And those shoes..!

2. Maison Martin Margiela
Not an extensive color palette, but beautiful in its simplicity, interesting use of fabrics (the leather!) and the raw vibe if you ask me. Definite favorite.

3. Elizabeth & James
A dreamy kind of simplicity, I believe - a majority of light (pastel) colors and subtile (long) lines. One delicate and gorgeous collection.

Don't forget to check out Lanvin and Wes Gordon too ..

I'm so SO sorry for the silence around here, dear readers .. particularly last week has been hectic but I'm now moving towards a calmer period which will allow me to focus on the blog again, with some new energy and inspiration that is. Loads has happened the past few weeks and loads exciting will happen in the upcoming months, that's all I can say at this point - so stay stuned! For now I will leave you with this moodboard (which accurately represents my upcoming weekend..) and the promise I will be back next Wednesday. I will spend the weekend with my family and boyfriend in Winterberg, Germany. Loads of nature, fun, barbeques and some celebrations are due - can't wait!

Happy Sunny Weekend!

It adds up: my love for the athletic trend in fashion, the fact that numerous global sport tournaments are due now (hockey) or within weeks (football, cycling, basketball .. younameit) and get me going, and that I have a busy week ahead so I'm in the mood for something comfortable - that is how an Inspiration Monday blogpost turns to sport. To be exact, sports as in the latest issue of Elle Australia. Clean, pure and comfortable - does it get better? Happy Monday! Pictures from the Fashionography
